This is an unfinished story that I must have started writing about 2 years ago and I just found it again so I might start on it again. But here is the Prologue anyway.
Prologue!
Melkor walked up to the enemy and held his massive warhammer up in the air and called out “For Mordor!” The enemy stood motionless staring Melkor in the eye. Melkor stared them back in the eyes with his pure evil eyes.
“My lord. Most of our men have been killed by that worm. Glaurung was his name I think.” Melkor grinned but not in a good way. His foul face turned into the most evil upon all faces as he slashed his hammer through the air and the Orc captain went flying through the darkness.
There was a huge silence before the battle. Melkor laughed out loud. “You!” he cried. “You expect your army of hundreds to beat my army of thousands!”
The Elven captain looked up at the tall Melkor and answered “You never know what might happen.”
“We’ll see about that.”
Melkor suddenly ran forth and smashed his hammer into the enemy and swung it back to himself. Melekor had already killed twelve elves and quickly on his way to victory. The elves pushed themselves forward into the alone Melkor. Suddenly, Melkor didn’t feel as powerful.
Melkor was pushed back by the elves and he lashed his warhammer once again. One-hundred more elves quickly dashed into battle with Melkor, but, at that moment Melkor had called his orcs over to attack. The orcs blasted past Melkor and pushed the elves back once more. There was then a swarm of orcish arrows darting across the field.
“Aim for Melkor’s heart,” said a High Elf captain.
Suddenly the orcish arrows hit the elves and pushed them further back. An Orc captain smacked his axe round the head of the High Elf captain and blood squirted out like a fountain.
“My lord, I have killed the High Elf captain.” whispered the captain. The orc was ordered to destroy the leader of the attack. Celbrecorn was the leader of the elves. He had attacked many legions of orcs but had never fought one this powerful.
“I will do as you wish master, although he is beyond my power,” answered the captain. A huge rumble in the ground. Bang, bang, bang. The elves slayed many orcs in few minutes. The Orc captain came to a halt. He stood still, then waved his sword at Hurin - a Gondorian captain – as Hurin went to strike.
“You shall come no further you orc scum. You should not have come for now you are to die.” Hurin slashed his shortsword at Gaverhnak and slit his throat. The orc collapsed to the ground with a great thud!
Bang, bang, bang, it came again only becoming much louder now. The ground rose quickly and out of it came a huge black shadow. It’s huge fiery hands came out first, then a flame, shaped as a sword struck the ground. Everything stopped.
The vast shadow was now fully out of the ground now. The orcs stopped cheering as they saw it slowly walk towards them. Melkor walked over and whispered to it. The elves could only hear the faint whisper of the evil Melekor.
The shadow walked through a gangway in between the orcs. The shadow went further and stepped in front of the elves. There was a sudden silence. The shadow, in an instant, struck several elves with its flame. The colossal shadow stepped back. A storm of elven arrows struck the shadow.
“What is it my lord?” asked an elf at the back of the army.
“It’s a Balrog. The Balrog of Melkor!” replied Celbrecorn.
The Balrog whacked another several elves through the air. The elves walked forward and attacked the Balrog, but the Balrog couldn’t feel a thing. He carried on sweeping its sword low, killing many of its foes. The Balrog had to crouch a bit to reach the tiny figures below it. He smashed his evil horns into a group of spearmen.
Celbrecorn stepped forth. He then pulled out a sword and held it up in the air. The sword was struck by lightning and the lightning bounced off the sword and struck the Balrog. The Balrog fell to the ground and made a hole. The Balrog was defeated by, perhaps, the strongest elf of all time.
Melkor ran up to Celbrecorn and whacked his hammer into him. Celbrecorn went flying. All the remaining elves attacked. They failed, Melkor was victorious.
Horns blew to the left. Two thousand, or even more, appeared. Cavalry! Melkor turned and fell to his knees. He ordered the orcs to form a line. The orcs charged instead. The cavalry pushed them back. The King, King Tyco, slashed many orcs round the throat. King Tyco’s manoeuvrability was marvellous and he turned and slayed the captain. He pulled his dagger out and threw it at Melkor. It succeeded to hit and Melkor’s shiny heavy armour had a tiny dagger in. Melkor realized that he was out numbered by the cavalry and retreated with the rest of his orcs. King Tyco ordered twenty horsemen to get the injured Celbrecorn and pick up those who suffered injuries. The forces of good took one last look at Mordor and all of the dead elves.
“Help the injured to their feet, leave the dead. Quick! The orcs will return one day. I can sense it.”
Thats the prologue I will try and write more soon
